ESCC have opened a very short window in which the public may give feedback on their Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP). The consultation closes on 13th June.
It involves creating a bus lane along A259 St. Anthony’s Avenue, connecting the Town Centre to Admiral Retail park as well as local parks. Broadly it has little effect on cycling as there is already cycle infrastructure marked in green on the map below.
Nevertheless HUB feels this is very important as it shows ESCC’s willingness and ability to use Traffic Regulation Orders to improve transport. This is important for HUB’s local campaigns.
It takes only a minute to respond, positively, to ensure that safer travel for non-motorists is prioritised. There’s one response box, please stress your support for cycling now being included in bus lanes.

Special thanks to Bespoke Cycle Group in Eastbourne for passing this over to us.
